HOT RODS & CUSTOMS

FORD MOTOR COMPANY: Mercury

Mercury 1950: Shaved, Chopped and rear doors molded into the body and front doors lengthened. Additionally, all seams and the front fenders are molded. (American Car Show, Helsinki 1997 and Hot Rod & Rock Show, Tampere 1999)
Mercury Monterey 1950: The car is chopped, shaved etc. License plate stands for sled, and that's what it is. A real lead sled. (Happy Days Car Show, Helsinki 1997 and Car, Bike & Rock Show, Kouvola 1998)
Mercury 4d 1951: Many finnish kustoms are made from 4 door sedan into a tudor HT. I really don't know the reason why. Check out for example this Mercury (or of course my '62 New Yorker), looks great and FOUR DOORS NO WAITING. (Himos Summer Meet, Himos 1999 and Harrasteajoneuvo Pick Nick, Forssa 1997)
Mercury 1956: This car was made from a 4 door sedan into a 2 door convertible. The roof mechanism is from '65 Buick Skylark. (Harrasteajoneuvo Pick Nick, Forssa 1997 and Hot Rod & Rock Show, Tampere 1997)
Mercury Monterey 1955: The car is from Sweden. (American Car Show, Helsinki 1999)
Mercury 1949: Supercharged 350 Chevy smallblock under the hood. In a kustom?! This '49 Mercury from Sweden doesn't only look good, it moves FAST. (Hot Rod & Rock Show, Tampere 1999)
